Some time ago Anna's Archive launched a contest to create a visualization of the “ISBN space,” i.e., all books registered through this code. The results are spectacular. I recommend that you search for any book in the winning tool for an authentically Borgesian experience.

@entreprecariat@post.lurk.org that's indeed an impressive implementation. And once again I'm surprised how shitty the ISBN system is. When creating a registry, why not at least provide basic DC-like metadata that people can use to look up when searching for the ISBN number...
