for a long time I had the names "Allen and Unwin" in my head as being associated with Tolkien but I had forgotten anything about what they did in the books. Maybe they were Frodo's nosy hobbit neighbors. Or the pseudonyms used by Merry and Pippin at the inn in Bree. Or some dwarves who got cooked by Smaug in the Lonely Mountain. Or a bumbling Rohirrim comic relief duo. During my recent foray into Tolkien's work I learned that they are none of these. They are the publisher of the books

I feel like they would slot right in as dwarf names. "Here's Kili and Fili, here's Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur, and Allen and Unwin, and Óin and Glóin, and Dwalin and Balin," etc etc
