Maybe a crazy thought… but what if Cloudflare bought the internet archive but ran it as a separate non profit in some way that would protect it for what it is but infrastructure and crawling could be done by Cloudflare and at least partially funded by them. https://www.wired.com/story/the-internets-most-powerful-archiving-tool-is-in-mortal-peril/
