@Barbramon1 @green_bens The quiet revolution is that it is, heterogeneously but inexorably. In the US now, coal is already the most expensive source of electricity other than nuclear. Coal plants can't run forever, they have to be shut down about every decade for maintenance. Most power companies are using that opportunity to shut them down for good, or convert to natural gas. E.g. here in Colorado, the state set a target of no coal by 2030. It's looking like it will actually be 2028 or sooner. Which is no small feat for a state largely built on coal mining a century ago.
