@sean I disable most notifications on my phone, or put them in the "silent" category so they show up in the notification scroll, but not as an alert.
Pet peeve is when an app update changes those to "loud" or introduces new notification categories that default to it.

@mwop I've absolutely been in meetings where some of the product owners can't even possibly fathom the idea that someone might NOT want to get a constant flow of our precious messages. I should have started a brewpub 10 years ago.
