Did I say GitHub became mostly unusable?
> The main driver is a rapid change in how software is being built. Since the second half of December 2025, agentic development workflows have accelerated sharply. By nearly every measure, the direction is already clear: repository creation, pull request activity, API usage, automation, and large-repository workloads are all growing quickly.

Goethe wrote in The Sorcerer's Apprentice: "The spirits that I summoned / I now cannot rid myself of again". (original, Der Zauberlehrling: "Denn die Geister, die ich rief / werd ich nun nicht los") Github CEO called: "Either you have to embrace the Al, or you get out of your career". Is it only me seeing parallels there? 🤔 The apprentice flooded the house, and could not stop the water coming. But what master will Dohmke call to for help? MS says "using AI is no longer optional." 🤷♂️
