Please boost this poll, I'm doing a serious survey. Does Yuri impact code quality? Again, I'm being serious. (For anyone not aware of Yuri, which I highly doubt since we're on Fedi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuri_(genre)) #Yuri #Programming #Tech #Technology #Coding #Fediverse

@mrmasterkeyboard@mastodon.social the amount of lesbian couples i know where both partners are incredibly talented programmers suggests the effect is very positive

@mrmasterkeyboard@mastodon.social Curiously enough, yuri can inspire someone to write code! At least in my case. I’ve written some yuri-inspired code, even though I have virtually no programming experience. It’s an utility tool for making an unofficial translation of a certain yuri game, if you’d like to know. Maybe it’s not such a big deal, but at least it works for me! However, It’s hard to tell whether yuri had a positive or negative impact on the quality of that code, as it affected its very existence. (And I don’t have proper skills to judge its quality.) Should I just call the whole process an yuri-driven development?

@mrmasterkeyboard@mastodon.social Odd results. I have voted:" Yuri doesn't impact code quality in any way. "Because I believe someone's gender, sexuality, or self determined identity does not change their work. Coding is a learned skill and your gender, sexuality, and however you identity does not make you better or worse.
