I patiently awaited the arrival of Fedora 44, as they had put work into a better out of the box experience on Snapdragon X ARM laptops². I tried it over the weekend… and it didn't work. First I had to discover that you have to manually edit the kernel command line in grub¹ to have any chance of it booting, but even after multiple attempts it never got further than a few systemd boot messages. So the Yoga 7x goes back in the corner again.

@wezm@mastodon.decentralised.social Have you tried the latest ubuntu, or the 'ubuntu-concept' tree - it's specifically tweeked for the Snapdragon X laptops, although I believe most of it is now in the current Ubuntu. It certainly works on my Asus Zenbook. (There are a few chunks of firmware that you need to get from places for some things, but it gets it going OK)
