Just saw claude one shot porting a suite of mocha/chai/testing-library unit tests for a vanilla web app to a vanilla runner in about ten minutes. The runner’s code is clean and minimal, the test files look a lot like the mocha version did, and the 135 tests passed on the first try. I don’t know whether to be happy for vanilla web dev that LLMs are this good at writing that code, or sad that the time of writing code myself is coming to a close.
