"So let me get this straight, you found our DNA, all 13 of us, on an old clay cup?" "The Grail, yes. You all shared it that one time." "And you made..." "Grew." "...grew copies of us? And now we all have to have dinner together every day because..?" "It's the biggest attraction at Jesusland." "What happens when we look too old?" "We start a new generation every 5 years, your replacements are nearly ready. The Grail really does grant immortality, if you think about it." #MicroSF #Microfic

This idea is growing in my brain. Judas has no idea why he's being heckled through the glass, they're getting bored of the same meal, escape attempts are made but Judas accidentally rats them out. Jesus has some homebrew on the go that they think Rome Corp (the company behind Jesusland) don't know about, but a little is siphoned off each week and sold for a fortune. There's decent satire here (of capitalism/tech gone wild, not religions), if I'm brave enough for the Life of Brian experience ๐Ÿ˜‚

@_thegeoff@mastodon.social @lisamelton@mastodon.social ....sounds an awful lot like the plot to a religion-based series of Foundation. ๐Ÿ˜‚
