@lightweight the trouble of politics is that the voter next door believes that this is best achieved by voting differently than you. And the voter down the road actually believes in trickle-down economics. And the voter on the corner is an incorrigible racist who wishes more politicians acted like Winston Peters. 😅

@lightweight Personally I'll be voting for the Greens to the extent possible in my electorate, but they're not very popular with the majority of voters, despite standing for pretty much everything you've said here.

@mattwillis yes, that's my fear. That the plurality of voters are mostly unworthy of admiration. But I think that's not necessarily true. They're just bitter about their shattered expectations of their life, and looking for someone to blame. There are people they can blame, quite legitimately. Let's shift the focus.
