@megatronicthronbanks @timonsku most modern devices with double isolation do not really need it, though... the purpose of earth pin is to give a low resistance discharge path to current if any live conductor were to touch the metal chassis internally (or in general if there was any dispersion on the chassis) instead of having the user touching it be the path to earth. If the chassis is all plastic that problem is already solved (and you wouldn't know what to do with an earth connection). That's why most small devices sold in Europe use the C plug, which has no earth connector and can fit into E, F, J, K, L (10A variant), N and O sockets (and maybe more).
