Unfortunately, in most developing countries it's an evil necessity, in that some people can only be communicated through Messenger, or that the sole contact for their businesses is through their Facebook pages. Fact is, most of the separate traditional Internet services -- including niche interest fora -- are now replicated entirely by Facebook.
