@moonglum I'm not sure if the second group is actively aiming to depend on big tech. Maybe they're simply falling in the "comfort trap". Maybe something along the lines of: "The tool makes life easier and more comfortable, do I need to think deeper and be conscious of what would happen if I use or support this tool? Nah. It gets the job done. Yay, I'm 10x dev now babee!" They might even be fully aware of the environmental impact, technical debt, security risks, data leak, etc.
