@davemangot isn't that largely because those tools are marketed to high level managers as "you can pay us instead of having employees", and many are onboard with that message?

@davemangot @hazelweakly Because we as an industry and community take the technical skills for granted. Not from all members, not universally, not at magnificent levels. But we expect at least some thought for maintainability, some for security, some for in general not doing insane crap. So that's the base level upon which those additional skills build and deliver extra value.

@davemangot nothing is context free. And the context is overshoot of 7 of 9 planetary boundaries. And as a generality, agentic code is an accelerant. It’s been developed by hyperscalers, who deploy it at hyperscale, and want to hyperscale it more. Nothing about that is sensible or resilient. People with skills are @hazelweakly
