    @ernie@writing.exchange I find the article insulting to Google+. Google+ had some ideas that could have made social media better and safer if they had been a bit more fleshed out. Gemini in Google Search has no redeeming qualities.

  • @ernie@writing.exchange I liked and used Google+ when it was available and found a longer form blogging platform and alternative to Twitter useful. I still don't get the hostility to it. What I really did not like was Google cancelling it, something which they have done to a great many of their products, to the extent that I do not want to ever count on anything provided by Google anymore.

    @ernie@writing.exchange These tools are correct 70% or more of the time by the articles own numbers. That is more than occasionally correct as it states in the end. A large number of users are going to adopt this for convenience because the convenience is high and the impact of wrong answers in most common use cases is low.
