ever think about batman in "batman: the animated series" and his insistence on calling his rogues by their government names, which inside the narrative is a noble attempt to anchor them to their humanity, to treat them as people instead of monsters? my queer marxist ass can't help but regard it as deadnaming and anglicization; the establishment figure, batman avatar of the bourgeoisie, asserting control over the Other's reality by denying/overwriting their identity, "nominative colonization"
