This would be horrible if true - hopefully just longer upgrade cycles as the tech is new and may need more time to lower cost etc.

@tchaten@mastodon.world Honestly I’m on board. visionOS is incredible. The attention to detail in the rendering layer, blending reality and software, is incredible for an AR device. Vision Pro is an incredible device, a cutting-edge headset… But visionOS is shackled by the hardware reality that you can’t comfortably take a headset outside or wear it for long periods. It could do so much more. It feels that when the software met hardware constraints, they slapped 3D iPadOS on top and called it a day.
