Teaching part optional. **Not-So-Fun-Fact!** One of the (many) offenses which got Columbus stripped of his title of governor by the Spanish Crown was *stopping* native people from converting - because Christians, by Spanish law of that time, could not be enslaved. Better a slave than a saved soul to Columbus, it would seem.
