I love when I spend too much effort on something, handing out a significant amount of time, just for it to result in absolutely nothing. 22 minutes of my existence simply went to the trash bin, after Blender Cycles (now through CLI because Blender doesn't need to deal with the load of keeping an UI) decided to crash right after the rendering was done, but before writing it to the file. I mean, frame 1 rendered successfully from CLI, then I tried rendering a second frame and... this. At least my second attempt on rendering is seemingly running, and so far I managed to render 4 frames from CLI. I automated it to send myself a notification (via ntfy) for every frame rendered, together with the retcode. According to my napkin math, it'll take two entire days to render 150 frames at 360p (I reduced the resolution in order to try and reduce the time spent on each frame) using Cycles (if my old laptop manages to keep it running). I'm wondering why I'm willing to spend that much time on something that will become silenced by my own "mark as sensitive content" self-censoring and unlikely to be seen by anyone, let alone receive any feedback or whatever.
