I highly suggest everyone watch the 90s show Dinosaurs, its not the kids show you thought it was, it's anti capitalist, anti corporation, there's an ep where the son makes a free energy source and the 'WeSaySo' company does everything they can to disprove, discredit and destroy the kid to save their profits.
