@rebeccafinn @geekygirldawn while I think that statement can be accurately deployed, I am a big fan of the Feynman method.
Imho, If I genuinely understand a topic, I should to some degree be able to explain it to both an colleague and a child.
But more importantly, when you go to a colleague for help, I can't imagine someone being such an asshole that they send someone expressing their vulnerability like that away with a guilt trip AND no explanation.
If you *must* shout, shout the answer. 🤷♂️

@MadSc13ntist My point is that, when a person with less experience or knowledge than one asks for help with a subject in a professional environment, one can hold one's opinions and help. I don't necessarily see how telling someone "you should already know this" is of any help whatsoever.
