@markgrieveson I have an aging relative who watches AI slop videos on Youtube all day that are delivered via their TV provider. (It's really hard to control Youtube with a TV remote).
They actually believe the AI slop videos are real. This individual is addicted to shitlib AI slop as opposed to outright fascist slop.
Should we restrict old people as well? I don't think so. There are many other solutions other than moral panic.

@markgrieveson And the right-wing "moral panic" ultimately feeds the big tech oligarchs but in a neo-liberal way. Ultimately the neo-fascist right-wing and the neo-liberals are both authoritarian and serve the same interests.

@leftylabourtech Okay, that makes sense. If it's the purpose of the law itself that's in question, then any safeguards (such as mandating, with penalty for breach, that any information used for age identity purposes must be destroyed after such use), become irrelevant.
