@nelson I think the family computer should be able to host like five small services for just the family (file storage, music & video streaming within the house, contacts server, family calendar) & that it should be made very easy to do for free & have it be stable & reliable. I think anything bigger like email or social networking should be hosted by the family's autistic catgirl friend or something like a public library but for computer network services instead of books.
