A question for those of you who are savvy:
Is there an European SUPL?
If not, why not? It seems that even the major mobile operators redirect to Google, which then has access not only to SIM card information, but also exact location of all the mobile devices in the world.
If this is the case, why isn't the EU ahead of the game? Any observatory with a server could do this simple job.

@timagal@mastodon.social GrapheneOS has their own SUPL (supl.grapheneos.org), which you can use, albeit it is merely a proxy that strips out as much identifying info and such and you can also self host your own proxy if desired
