Did a bit of playing around on this today. DANG is it nice! I can't believe it's 50 years old without a scratch on it. The serial number and printed materials in the case indicate it was made sometime in 1976.

Kid was at a trombone lesson today and his teacher apparently said "heard your dad bought that 3B." WTF?!???

I took the 3B to big band practice last night. It is *SWEET* and so much fun to play. The bass trombone player was salivating over it a bit. "Oooh. It's even got the vintage logo engraved on it!"

@dabeaz If it's that old, do you use cold cream and water spray to lubricate the slide? (IIRC, that's what I used in high school band)
