On reflection, I'm a bit embarrassed at how "I must make sure these knobs are perfectly spaced" somehow became "I must write code to create a 3D printed drill guide with evenly-spaced holes." Sure, pencil-and-ruler is less precise, but you don't *need* that kind of precision for knob spacing.

See? Pencil-and-ruler. Not evenly spaced, not exactly square, but for an instrument I'll be playing myself which hardly anyone else will get a close look at? It's fine. I don't know what my point is, exactly. I think I'm just talking to myself in public here and partly trying to convince myself that it *is* fine. 😅
