Kid reaches out to touch some being.
"Hey, don't touch them."
"Can they bite?"
"No."
"Can they sting?"
"No."
"Are they poisonous?"
"Probably not."
"Are they venomous?"
"No."
"Why can't I touch them?"
"Consent, my baby. They don't have a way to tell you it's okay. If it's not okay for sure, don't touch."
"What if they don't run away when I try?"
"They might be too scared. Lots of us freeze when we're frightened."

"What if they touch me first?" "Then it might be okay. It would take being super patient, quiet, and still, and paying super close attention to find out for sure. But if you are really gentle, it might be okay. Watching and listening are always good."
