@weirdofhermiston the least-reactive toothpaste I ever used was this wanky-ass chocolate flavoured one called Theodent, that used a fancy engineered fluoride substitute. it's as expensive as it sounds — $16 for a 100g tube. a friend of mine used to work for them and was given a bunch of samples to give out. I use Sensodyne ProNamel now and it's… alright. SLS free and not minty, but still not completely reaction free for me. hard to recommend as a brand, though for a different reason: because apparently we sometimes need the abrasive agent to be made out of plastic in order to achieve true dental hygiene, some variants will deposit microplastics in your mouth. the variants are hard enough to tell apart that you're best to simply read every box until you find one that doesn't mention "copolymer" or some other cosmetics-industry euphemism for "endocrine disruptor as a service".
