I'm told there is a thriving ecosystem of Heated Rivalry fan fic and i am choosing to operate on the assumption that it's simply chock full of hockey-related double-entendres, e.g. "wow, that's some great stick handling" or "two minutes for roughing" or "here he is with the wraparound" etc
