@adritheonly One of the best ways to advance community gardens is to look for unused property at the local government level. Get together with gardeners-to-be to see it can be allocated for community use. It's local, an accessible action, and grows community

@metaphase Yes, that would be the way if I was living anywhere other than Cape Town, South Africa. Land has become a weapon in many different little wars, some political, most purely for greed. Even if you own land, water is not exactly affordable other than for daily drinking and cooking food. My statement about golf courses was mostly a way to get my own dagger in at my ex-boss, an avid golfer and retrencher of elderly staff.
