@raphaelmorgan Exactly! I have vague memories of earli(er) internet where ppl would be recommended music that others, who listened to the same track, also liked. And early youtube actually recommended stuff similar to what I just watched. That didn't feel manipulative or upsetting. And yeah, the current obsession with driving up "engagement" over quality... it's literally making ppl waste time. And it's wanting to make them addicted. But most technologies that can be used in harmful ways can also be turned to good :')
