  @packetzero so, this was the era of Broken Windows policing and Quality of Life Issues And one of those was truancy So they decided certain zones like arcades, shopping malls ... transit hubs ... were off limits to minors during school hours and they sent truancy officers into those zones to enforce this The mayor did not personally care that we were students on our way to the museum But he was at the head of a system that cleared us out of a terminal
