@jalefkowit @catmisgivings this is so enlightening.
I’m one of those outsiders who thought that, at some point, Giuliani was a good mayor and New Yorkers loved him.
I think he’s mentioned in a Seinfeld episode in a positive light.
Sounds like collective media delusion or maybe a conspiracy.

@xconde @catmisgivings No conspiracy required. People were just desperate for something to believe in at that moment. And Giuliani was good at saying strong-sounding things and getting himself in front of cameras.
