@lkundrak it doesn't look flattering to us now. but back then it would have been used as an example of the socialist future. the reality was that the country still often looked war torn in the 1980s.

@kolya @lkundrak Comparing this to a picture of today at the same location, other than the models of cars and trams, most of the difference is the grime and dirt everywhere. That is for sure a product of the environmental pollution by cars and industry and a sign for neglect towards the human being. I'm wondering if this was the reason for or a product of nobody caring much about the *look* of things in the public space.
