@kevingranade I think I've skipped a bunch of context. While UBI is the pied piper song for billionaires to ensnare people into not regulating them, it is still nominally a leftist idea. People are advocating UBI in the same way as people advocate against Abortions: If you give people UBI they might cure cancer! They might have been Great Man but because they had to worry about finances they could never achieve their true potential! My argument is: Maybe they're just a good hang? Maybe if you gave me a choice between surviving cancer and dying but surrounded by friends and family and joy and laughter, I'd pick the latter?
