RE: https://mathstodon.xyz/@j_bertolotti/116494218705848095 i think this points many folks to the conclusion that "mastodon has a discovery problem" if you have to work to find people... but that's kind of simplistic. whenever discovery features are added, a lot of people here don't want to participate in them! because they're good at finding their own people and want to not be easily indexed/scraped/"found" by all sorts of automated means. there's a different mindset at work here and that's not a bad thing. some folks won't ever gel with that though
