Is there any way (in OSM) to map the _type_ of pedestrian crossing symbol?
Some places have different styles.
e.g. Mainz has this Mainzelmännchen, Berlin, famously has different one for East & West Berlin.
How does one store that in OSM?

@amapanda Beyond me. But I recently saw the clever Māori theme variation posted on Mastodon. (edit - https://aus.social/@timrichards/116359820009972582 ) Ref: https://wellington.scoop.co.nz/?p=116392

@amapanda Pumukl in Munic, East Germany, … Other countries and continents: We need an #OpenStreetMap Wiki page, also defining the valid tagging names. And a nice collection of pictures.
