@MisterMaker https://opensourceready.substack.com/p/there-is-no-open-source-ai ;) tl;dr there are many open-source LLM engines, but none can work without the data, always and only obtained "by any means available" by big tech. The code of an LLM is often the least important part and can be done in 200 lines of python http://karpathy.github.io/2026/02/12/microgpt/
