Adventures in DIY solar:
-AC coupling, off-grid with grid input, micro inverters and micro-grid interconnection devices.
-As an owner-builder you must take the certification course before you can buy our product. A certification you will never use because halfway you realized our product doesn't do what you want.
-Only CEC certified equipment can be installed in your state, but you have to also check with your AHJ. Your AHJ doesn't list the specific CEC approved equipment you want to install, but says it allows anything CEC approved and updates its list monthly. The equipment you want has been on the CEC list for 2 years.
-You get to learn about UL 1741 SA and Rule 21, and about which batteries catch fire.
-You learn its $14k cheaper to become a solar contractor in your state than it is to hire one.
Yet your true up is so bad your planned upgrade will pay for itself in 3 years.
