and finally, my latest, ‘to find warmth in snow’ is based on an old photo of mine. i added the text and used a plugin that treats images as filters to scan through it, filtering white noise with it. i then ran that audio through various spectrum analyzers until i got an end image i was happy with. i composited this over the high-contrast original (sans text), leaving in the grid lines so traces of the process remained. (sorry for the edit, tracked down the spec analysis screenshot…)
