@thomzane hi sorry i'm new - it took me ages to overcome friction and sign up. did you gain any traction at team gmail? i've noticed a number of annoyances that aren't getting enough attention for such a mature platform. googleapis can be abused to track when users click on spam email links - this seems like an easy thing for google to go after yet they do not? the other most glaring is zero consent for google account recovery. anyone who knows my address can spam me with account requests saying i'm now their recovery account of choice. kind regards.

@bingowings85 I found that I knew addition Google staff that I was unaware of and passed my findings to them to file internally. I have not heard back. The majority of the problem for us has been resolved, but generally Google has not patched the root problem that I highlighted. I'm not generally interested in fixing all of Google's many problems, but I will continue to speak out when I find their platforms are spreading abuse externally.
