Aren't those big concrete rivers supposed to help prevent that? Or did it rain so much that the stormwater drains just couldn't keep up?

@kilroy_was_here The concrete is just supposed to keep the river from moving around and making oxbows. My street turned into a river for a bit too! It seems the storm drains couldn't keep up with the absolute dump of rain we got in 30 minutes.
