I have been thinking of becoming more of a socialist. The whole profit-driven, money-grubbing ideology of capitalism is harmful to the human psyche. While yes, the government bureaucrats can be annoying, but giving up government power to corporations isn't that better. Murray Bookchin had a great point about the dangers of both privatization and nationalization. I could be an anarchist, but the problem with anarchy is that there's a power vacuum of lawlessness. I personally think that as long the government serves the common people, it's not that bad. I'm not a full-blown socialist tho, I still have civil liberal principles.
