One species a day before Biodiversity Day (22/05). The wetland-dependent northern lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) is in sharp decline and is classified as vulnerable in Europe. The disappearance of many wetlands to make way for intensive farming is the main threat. Furthermore, in France, it is still hunted. I hate hunting.
