@gnuplusmatt@fosstodon.org I haven't been using kagi, but according to their help docs... https://help.kagi.com/kagi/search-details/search-sources.html they have their own index, and they also do anonymised calls to other indexes and mix in those results. I have been using #ecosia for ages, and I kind of keep forgetting there are other things out there, because it keeps working just fine for me. I very rarely can't find stuff, but maybe I don't look for stuff that is hard to find?

@gnuplusmatt@fosstodon.org I’ve been paying for Kagi for several years now and very pleased with it. I don’t use their browser.

@gnuplusmatt@fosstodon.org when other search engines fail me (which is often) i use their 100 free searches. Its getting to the point where i consider more and more to pay them.
