@phire Museums, breweries, pastry shops with good coffee. Outdoor bars, places to walk with green stuff around. Comedy gigs, delicious restaurants. Art galleries, rock shops, dive bars, bbq venues. Markets, stores with weird things, stupendous breakfasts. Book shops and comic shops. Parks. Unsure if I will make it out of town, since there's plenty to cover 😀

@oisin Honestly, Toronto is kind of a dream city for this. I tell people all the time it can be an underwhelming place to visit because it mostly shines as a great place to LIVE. I’d stay near Kensington or Trinity Bellwoods, both super walkable neighbourhoods with interesting stores. The Junction triangle has a ton of breweries in easy walking, the AGO and ROM are great headline museums but there’s a ton of smaller ones around, High Park is our central park but with capybaras.

@oisin Ronnie’s Local is the dive’s dive (derogatory), Sneaky Dee’s is the iconic Toronto dive (complimentary), Communist Daughter is the hidden gem with live music on Saturdays and record nights on Mondays. Pandemonium in the Junction is my platonic ideal of a used bookstore, the Beguiling has great comics, the Bathurst Local is a great unpretentious wine bar with a karaoke lounge. Bar Hop has a great rooftop patio and great beer selection, Bellwoods has a great patio and food.
