I think everyone probably loves Valium which is why it’s a controlled substance.
I think drugs make sense in medical trials to record the human experience. Self-exploration is always valuable. Know thy self. I also think that evolution put us closest to reality but has the accuracy of statistical averaging (like LLMs), so tweaking the fringes is fun, but no further.
This is why I think #AI is closer to human intelligence than people think and yet less accurate than people think. People over estimate the accuracy of people because of the limitations of their brain. Some drugs allow you to look at the human hallucination.
I don’t know if it’s me or my slight ADHD brain but it demands control. It’s why I fought coffee use so hard for 20 years making myself worse. Since concluding its medication and not addiction I’ve found my dose and have gained incredible mental clarity over what was before. I believe this is what is known as the ‘normal’ experience.
Coffee and alcohol are my tweaks but controlled.
