@_elena@mastodon.social This is probably kinds subjective, because mine still dry as usual in terms of notifications. And yours happen because you and people around you are able to understand how fediverse works. Me and my friends too.
I think the analogy is a little bit of here for proofing if there's engagements in fediverse by showing notification counts. Just saying.
Still love the fediverse, though.

@ufal @_elena I think everyone's experience is different here. I do think people need to rewire themselves a bit when they come here. You can't expect virality, it's hard to post something that gets lots of organic "engagement". But it's kinda like just being in the world. I would never leave my house and yell some thoughts out and expect people to come talk to me. I just have to go up to people and chat with them. Try just finding something on your Timeline you like and engaging with it.
