From 2027, the EU will require all new smart phones to have user-replaceable batteries.
How this is actually going to work out in practise is not clear.

@gwentlarry @iFixit What is the current situation regarding Android updates? I had to buy a new phone because the Android version of my Samsung S10 is too old for the access app of my employer.

@gwentlarry I doubt that Fairphone, Shift and Gigaset have enough manufacturing capacity for the entire EU market. ;) @iFixit
